Base44 Adds Google Ads Campaigns: What App Builders Should Know

What changed in Base44

Base44 has added Google Ads campaign creation and management to its platform, giving people who build applications with natural-language prompts a way to promote those apps without setting up a separate advertising workflow from scratch. The feature is available through the Base44 marketing tools and is designed to connect an app’s description, audience, and creative assets to a new campaign.

According to reporting on the September 9 announcement, Base44 can create a Google Ads account on a builder’s behalf, prepare campaign copy and images from the application, and let the builder activate and monitor the campaign from Base44. That could make paid discovery much easier for a first-time advertiser, but it also means users should understand who controls the account and where their advertising budget is charged.

How the Google Ads integration works

The workflow is built around automation. A builder describes or creates an app, then uses Base44’s marketing area to produce a campaign using information already associated with that app. Base44 says the system can recommend audiences based on the app’s category, value proposition, and likely user intent.

The practical advantage is less repetitive setup: users may not need to write every headline, resize every image, or learn the Google Ads interface before launching. The trade-off is that automated inputs still need human review. Check the landing page, conversion goal, geographic targeting, ad copy, images, daily budget, and billing arrangement before activating anything.

Why Performance Max matters

The integration uses Google Performance Max campaigns. Performance Max can distribute ads across Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail, and Maps while Google’s systems optimize delivery toward a selected goal. It is a convenient format for beginners because it does not require the same level of manual keyword and placement planning as a traditional campaign.

That convenience also reduces some of the controls advertisers may expect. A campaign can spend across several surfaces, and early results may be difficult to interpret if the conversion tracking is incomplete. Start with a modest test budget, confirm that analytics and conversion events work, and avoid judging the campaign from clicks alone.

What to check before spending money

Before launching, confirm whether the Google Ads account is owned by you, Base44, or another managed entity, and whether you can access or transfer it independently. Also check how billing works, whether Base44 adds fees, how refunds are handled, and where invoices are issued. These details matter if you later move the campaign to an agency or manage it directly in Google Ads.

Review the permissions and data used to generate the campaign. Remove claims that the app cannot support, check every destination URL, and make sure the privacy policy and consent notices match the data collected by the app. Paid traffic cannot fix an unclear offer or a broken signup flow; it can simply send more people to one.

Who benefits most from the feature

Base44’s Google Ads tools are most useful for a solo builder, small business, or early-stage team that has a functioning app but limited advertising experience. The feature could shorten the distance between publishing an app and testing whether a specific audience is interested.

Experienced advertisers may still prefer direct Google Ads access for detailed reporting, account structure, experiments, exclusions, and budget controls. For everyone else, the sensible approach is to treat the integration as a campaign setup assistant, not as a guarantee of profitable growth. Measure completed signups, purchases, or other meaningful actions, and pause campaigns that cannot demonstrate value.
