Android September Drop 2026: Find Hub Can Now Remember Where You Put Things

Google is rolling out its September 2026 Android Drop, and this one is all about making your phone remember things so you don’t have to. The update lands five new features across Gemini, Find Hub, Google Messages, and accessibility — and unlike full OS upgrades, Feature Drops quietly arrive on supported devices over the coming weeks.

Find Hub “Remembered” — track things without a tracker tag

The headline feature: Find Hub and Gemini can now remember where you placed important items — no Bluetooth tracker required. Just tell Gemini something like “Hey Google, remember in Find Hub that I put my passport in my bedroom drawer,” and you can even attach a photo. The location is saved to a new Remembered tab in the Find Hub app, and you can ask Gemini where the item is later with a voice command. It’s rolling out on Android 16+.

Motion Assist — help for motion sickness in cars

If scrolling in a moving vehicle makes you queasy, Motion Assist could be your favorite update of the year. Available on Android 17+, it shows a subtle bubble overlay that moves with the vehicle, designed to bridge the gap between what your eyes see and the motion of your ride. You can customize the color, shape, and opacity, and Android can even turn it on automatically when it detects you’re in a car, bus, or train. There’s also a Quick Settings tile shortcut.

Gemini Live Guided Vision

Gemini Live is adding Guided Vision, which gives you spoken descriptions of what’s in front of your camera — think reading fine print on a food label, ordering from a menu in a dim restaurant, or locating objects around the house. If your camera isn’t lined up right, voice feedback will guide you to reframe or pan until you get the answer you need. It’s coming soon to phones on Android 9+ in countries where Gemini is available, and lives in the Accessibility shortcuts and TalkBack menu.

Google Keep lists inside Google Messages

Finally, after the wide rollout of chat themes, Google Messages gains Google Keep integration. You can now share and update grocery lists or vacation notes right inside a conversation — a “Create list” suggestion or the plus-menu shortcut opens a sheet for building the list, which then appears inline as a shared note you can both edit. The integration is rolling out starting now.

How to get the update

Feature Drops arrive as background app updates through Google Play — no system update required for most features. Make sure Google Play services and your system are up to date (Settings → System → System update), and watch for the new Remembered tab in Find Hub over the next few weeks.
